Silver Brumby Hut Walk - Mt Hotham

The Silver Brumby Hut was originally built as a movie prop in 1997 for the movie of the same name.  It was in a state of disrepair and has been rebuilt using aged materials.   In addition to its cultural history, the hut is located in a beautiful valley at the base of the Blue Ribbon Ski Run.  The walk to the hut will take you through alpine wildflowers and snowgums providing fantastic photo opportunities.

Guided walks can be organised throughout the festival.

Guests are welcome to walk to the hut at any time. Access is via the Davenport Access Track which is located at Bus Stop 8 on the Great Alpine Road across the road from Langi Taan and Rodondo Ski Clubs.

Head down the Davenport Access Track to the Village chair base, then turn right and follow the grassy track to the Blue Ribbon Chair base. The hut is located around 100 metres down the hill from the Blue Ribbon Chair down a small path to the right. Guided walks to the hut and to other locations around the resort can be organised through Adventures with Altitude.
